- About DarkStar 1.02a... █
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────_
- DarkStar is the result of many thousands of hours of Research. Though it █
- was written by a single programmer, it would not have been possible with- █
- out the patience and trust of over 500 active beta testers and a handfull █
- of local SysOps in Benton and Carroll counties in Arkansas. These SysOps, █
- the SysOps of DarkNet and BCSA Net3823, have cumulatively expended tens █
- of thousands of dollars in long distance services and literally thousands █
- of additional hours in testing to provide the result you see before you. █
- █
- DarkStar began as little more than an experiment, at a time when ANSI was █
- the standard and there were no DOS-based graphical BBS systems. The year █
- was 1992, and RIP had not yet made its way out of the closet. And it came █
- to pass, that DarkStar evolved from a small out-of-the-way town in middle █
- America, to become the first BBS system to provide online photos, online █
- digital audio, and a mouse-driven graphical interface. █
